Celebrated Features of New Tab Todo List

As soon as you download it, it asks you to create a new account on their website and then makes you purchase a subscription. Don't download unless you are ok with giving them your personal information right away
Terrible extension. First, it asks me to create an account, then I have to choose a project none of which are actually task lists, and then I am prompted to choose a plan? Spent 5 minutes setting it up and never managed to create a task list.
I have tried DOZENS of other new tab to do list extensions on the chrome web store and this was the best one by far, and that's not a good thing. I'm going to list my PROS and CONS about this so people reading the reviews don't get a headache. PROS: - You can import and integrate a lot of things from other platforms (if you use google calendar, today's your lucky day) - Make as many subtasks as you want - Able to customize what "project" your new tab opens - Loads of templates to choose from - Different kinds of project views - Folders so you can separate different kinds of workspaces (one for work, one for home, etc.) CONS: - System is VERY complex, be prepared to have the FAQ page open a lot to find out how to do basic things - There's no options to make just an event if you want to use this for it's calendar function, it automatically makes it a task that you have to check off, but you are able to set what time that thing is - Shoves its AI feature in your face a lot - You're not able to view a projects contents from the dashboard, you have to open it yourself - Can't adjust kanban board column size - Dashboard view is extremely limiting and unpleasant to look at WISHLIST: MUST HAVES: - Ability to adjust width of kanban board columns - Ability to vertically AND horizontally display kanban columns, so short columns aren't wasting half of the screen - More layout options for dashboard, specifically a grid view and/or collage that can show previews of major tasks or sections, and unfold to show all of the details of each project too. (When I say collage view, I'm thinking like how pinterest lays out their pins so that no pins are cropped while still fitting the most amount of content into one page as possible.) - Ability to interact with project contents via the dashboard view NICE TO HAVES: - built in pomodoro timer MORE THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS: So the thing I really dislike about this extension is the way they handle projects. I personally like to see everything at once so I don't forget it exists, and I organize my tasks by subject since I'm still in school. NewTab only has one view for it's dashboard, and you're forced to create "projects" in order to make any kind of to-do list (other than via the calendar). So the way I currently have my new tab set up is that I have one project that holds ALL of my to-do lists that I keep in the board view. This is a great setup except for the fact that the columns take up a third of the screen, so if you have 6 lists, it's impossible to view them all at once since you can't adjust the width and you can stack anything vertically. I've been using this for about a month and a half or so now and it's been quite helpful! However, I still feel like it's missing a lot of necessities. If any of the developers end up reading this, I hope this is helpful and that you actually make these changes! Remember that your tools act as a crutch for those who struggle with executive dysfunction, like myself, so listen to your audience and take care of your product! We rely on it!
awesome, its literally the more accessible version of clickup (by that i mean we dont have to go to the website etc), highly recommended for users who are looking for a place to add tasks, projects, collab with others etc. ALTHOUGH!! if youre looking for a simple ui with sticky notes / notepad etc, this is NOT the extension for you. this extension is quite complex in terms of usage so if you want a preview try looking up clickup, its literally the same thing! (minus a kanban board, and the abilities to add status/create workspaces/etc are paid services ?)
I want to enjoy this. But I'm prompted to pay for Ai features barely 5 minutes in And all I want is a simple daily check list! I click the tasks as complete after setting up daily functions, and when I click the check list there is no vissual indicator that I've checked it off. So what it does sets it as done, but really when I clicked it again it sets the following days as done as well. Tip: Have the free trial is 24 hours or something. Because I was chatting to the Ai bot first asking how it works and trying to set it up and then get cut off. I would have more likely stuck around if the initial set up was smoother, which it would have been with the Ai bots help.
Great job. It's the only todo tab I've seen that allows for formatting (bold, underline, etc.) and subtasks/outlining. And the sub tasks are easy to control. No one else does sub tasks! However, I do agree with some of the comments that it is a bit overwhelming for those of us who are just looking for a single user (non-collaborative) todo tab. Maybe add a "super simple ui" mode? But in any event, a great todo/organization new tab page. Thanks!
The AI is very good. It can automatically generate to-do lists, checklists, and outlines based on your notes. This is a huge time saver, and it helps me to stay organized. The extension is very customizable. You can change the look and feel of the extension, and you can add or remove widgets. This makes it easy to tailor the extension to your specific needs. The extension is free. This is a great option for people who are on a budget. The extension can be a bit buggy at times. I have had a few instances where the AI has generated incorrect to-do lists or checklists. However, the developers are constantly updating the extension, so I am confident that these bugs will be fixed eventually. The extension can be a bit overwhelming at first. There are a lot of features to learn, but the developers have done a good job of providing documentation and tutorials. Overall, I highly recommend the New Tab Todo List: Checklist, Notes, Outliner Chrome extension. It is a powerful tool that can help you to stay organized and productive. I give it 5 stars. Here are some additional thoughts about the extension: I like that the extension is integrated with my Google account, so I can access my to-do lists and checklists from any device. I also like that the extension allows me to collaborate with others on to-do lists and checklists. This is a great way to stay on track with team projects. I think the extension could be improved by adding a few more features, such as the ability to add due dates to tasks and the ability to assign tasks to other people. However, overall I am very happy with the extension.
Simply Awesome!!!!!!!!!
Awesome. Clean and beautiful UI. Very useful.
EXTREMELY USEFUL, 11/10
this tool is big time life hack i realy recommend everyone to use it
I love this extension! One month into using it and i am just in awe. it's been super helpful in organizing literally everything!
I LOVE IT THIS IS REALLY USEFUL
Personally, I think it is quite complicated. I created this for To-Do lists, but it seems that this is not for it. The formatting confuses me and I don't know how to create a list. I will probably stick to my other to do list extensions.
Loved the old UI. Not a fan of the new one.
